Many people are starting to expect that companies social media accounts to do more than just provided deals; they are expecting social media response teams. This is a group of people that use the companies social media accounts to answer product questions, explain service outages, and have a personality. This is an issue for many older companies that have not embraced social media as much, because the average marketing professional will not know enough about the products/services as customers are expecting.
It seems to me as being part of the trend of customers expecting a more rounded consumer experience where the relationship dose not end when they walk out of the store. We are expecting responses to complaints and we are holding companies liable for their products. In essence we now have the ability to have a voice that can harm a company and most companies are scared of bad press.

Texting Lanes for the Future?
Different places have started to designate lanes on side walks as "texting lanes" meaning that people are able to text in the lane rather than just waling. The idea is to reduce the number of people running into poles, cars, and other people.Although in many cases this is a joke about the number of people that text and walk; it is gaining some momentum.
Lazy people and students often are on social media while walking because it is convenient and allows for the opportunity of doing something meaningful with their wasted outside time. Who wants to look at trees, architecture, or even other people?
This new trend is one that I can get behind as I often search and use social media when walking around town and having a "special" lane could be nice to keep people in a rush and the texters separate so everyone. In 2012 the number of people where injured in some manner rose 35% in just two years. Around 78,000 people where hurt in some manner of walking injury and cell phone use is considered a major part in the growth of this trend.
White House Makes Nap Time Required in ALL College Classes
The White house has announced today (April 18th) That all colleges are henceforth required to provided nap time in all college classes. Citing increasing research that sleep helps the learning process. It is also obvious that the massively influential lobbying group S.F.B.T. (Students for better treatment) had a lot to do with this decision.
The founder (Chad) of the lobbying group had this to say "I feel that this is a good step toward better treatment for all of my fellow students, now we just need cheaper college and of course all dining halls to have a Chipolte that accepts our meal plan. Only then will we be happy with the state of the country."
It is believed that Obama was convinced to make this agreement while "Having Brotime over some hoops" according to the white house statement.
Colleges across the country are protesting the new law because it would start to require them to view students as people, and not walking check books. Colleges fear that this will lead to a new system in which they will be required to charge fair prices and provided livable housing.

Disney purchase of Star Treck
Disney have announced purchase of Star Trek:
Mr. Sulu was not able to guide the Star Trek franchise out of Disney clutches; as the company adds another franchise to its collection. Disney now owns Marvel, Star Trek, Star Wars, and news providers such as ABC, ESPN, and more.
It is believed that a cross over is in the Disney plans for the Star Wars and Star Trek franchises. Very little is know at this time with hits that the setting will happen still a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away. But will have the crew of the Enterprise end up there thanks to the force.
This has lead to violence on the streets with many tens of die hard fans coming out to defend their franchise and hopefully to prevent Disney from making this move. A photo of the violence is posted here. It is apparent that this violence needs to stop and Disney is our only hope to save the lives of tens of lonely diehard fans on both sides of this long time struggle.

Disney responded with "Nuq reH wIneH, wIlo'bogh Hoch nI' Hoch Huch chenmoH maH" chosing to use their new acquired language (Klingon) or "we will do what ever we want, as long as we make MONEY " in English. It is obvious that Disney will not stop until they achieve their goal of total world domination.

The Great Wall Race
China has announced that they will NOT allow the USA to build a greater wall than them.
In the wake of potential republican candidate Trump talking about how he will build "The Great Wall" along America's southern border with Mexico. A general rendering of the wall is pictured on the right of the page.
In response China has said they will not allow Trump to build a bigger and/or better wall, if he is elected. Although unable to directly stop the building of a wall an ocean away; China has said that they will enter into a "Wall Race." This may sound familiar as the USA had a competition with the USSR called the "Arms Race." Which lead to the Cold War.
China's official statement "We have always had The Great Wall and we will not allow our Great Wall to become just another wall. We vow to spare no expense to retain our Wall's status as The Great Wall"
However this threat has only brought about more support for an American Wall as the USA plans to use their "super builder" to construct the wall faster than China can build their wall. A test clip of the experimental "supper builder" can be scene below.

Blog 2
Google's ads are all over the web, there is almost no day that goes by with out running into a google ad. What tends to make their ads stand out is that they are related to things that you where recently searching on google. This method may make it seem like google has too much info about what we do online; but I would argue that this is a good way for us to get ads. Because the ads are only from things that we search there is little random or possibly offensive ads that make it into your ad experience. I would say that although they know what we are doing online there is a benefit to that and it is censoring the internet to keep content that we are not interested in away.
But with all the products and services google makes its also good not to upset google. Cuz they are watching.

Blog 1
I read the blog by Rebeca. I think that it was a good insight as to what a blog can be to the writer. A place that they can go to express their ideas in a controlled setting. I thought that it was a good idea of her to turn off the commenting; as anyone can see going on to face book the way that people can be hurtful and incentive. Because of this I think that it was a simple way for her to keep blogging and keep the topic on something that she likes with out needing to hear negative feed back for her ideas.
I also thought that it was a good point to write and blog about something that is a least interesting to you, rather than trying to write for an audience. Because the audience will find you if you write about something that you care about.
